The Hunthausen Center is named after the Most Reverend Raymond G. Hunthausen; it was dedicated in his name in July of 2016. 
Archbishop Hunthausen was born and raised in Anaconda, Montana.  He is known for his strong stances on peace and justice, Archbishop Hunthausen's leadership emphasized quality pastoral care for the people.  He served as bishop of the Diocese of Helena in Montana from 1962 to 1975 and as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Seattle in Washington State from 1975 to 1991.
